Talsperre Lichtenberg Erzgebirge Oberdorf Geschichte Sanierung

#drinkingwater Construction of the Lichtenberg Dam began in 1967 and lasted six years. The construction costs amounted to 120.5 million Deutsche Marks. The original upper village had to be demolished to make way for the reservoir, so replacement housing was built in the lower village, near the train station. The existing public swimming pool also fell victim to the dam. As a replacement, and because swimming in the reservoir is prohibited, a new open-air swimming pool was built in the lower village. The reservoir has a capacity of 14 million cubic meters and serves primarily as a source of drinking water for Freiberg. The dam is a riprap dam with a concrete core and a rolled bitumen surface on the water side and is accessible to the public. The intake tower offers five different intake levels and an overflow pipe. from: https://www.outdooractive.com/de/poi/...
