2000 NLDS (Braves @ Cardinals) Game One [The Ankiel Game]
A rematch of the 1996 NLCS pitted the Cardinals against the pitching-strong (and heavily favored) Atlanta Braves. The Cardinals, though, had captured home-field advantage on the final day of the regular season thanks to a Todd Helton homer off of John Rocker in Atlanta, and a Craig Paquette home run in St. Louis, and felt confident about their chances, especially with their rookie phenom Rick Ankiel on the mound for Game One.
