Ibrahim Iqbal is one of the Maldives' most experienced broadcasting professionals, with a long and distinguished career at the heart of the country's public media landscape. A proud alumnus of Majeedhiya School, he has dedicated the bulk of his professional life to the Maldives' state broadcasting institutions — spanning the era of Television Maldives through to the present-day Public Service Media (PSM), the Maldives' official state broadcaster operating Television Maldives, PSM News, Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu, Dhivehi FM, and a range of other channels. Currently serving as Director at PSM, Iqbal brings decades of institutional knowledge and broadcasting expertise to one of the most important media organisations in the country. His long tenure reflects not only professional dedication but also a deep commitment to PSM's founding mission of informing, educating, and entertaining the Maldivian public while preserving the nation's culture, heritage, and values. His career has seen him contribute to the evolution of Maldivian broadcasting through several transformations — from state television in its earlier form to the modern multi-platform public broadcaster PSM is today. He remains one of the veteran pillars of the Maldivian media industry.
