W124 - Climate Control Disaster :(

My passenger side duo valve solenoid windings have broken down, shorted and destroyed my operation unit. Today is a very sad day indeed. I will order a NEW duo valve if still available before installing another operation unit. NOTE: beyond September 1987 the operation unit directly controls the entire system, other than the compressor switching which is done by the MAS relay. The 12v supply to the duo valve is there, the fuse is not blown. The operation unit switches the negative side of either valve independently. I have pulled the operation unit apart and do not see the problem, I have simply bought another one. I will not drive the car till a new duo valve is installed and the system is operational again. I will also install a new radiator as one is on the way coincidently.
