Dismember – "Override Of The Overture" live, Rock Hard Festival l 2025 | Rockpalast

Opinions differ on the famous "chainsaw sound" of the Boss HM2 distortion pedal. In any case, it is a defining feature of Swedish death metal, and Dismember helped invent it. The legendary band has been back in its original lineup since 2019. In 2025, Dismember performed at the Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen, where Rockpalast recorded their concert, including their song "Override The Overture." 💡 You can find the entire concert here: https://1.ard.de/Dismember_2025 💀 Our Death Metal Playlist:    • 💀 Death Metal   In 1988, Dismember emerged from the smoldering remains of the band Carnage. Their first album, "Like An Ever Flowing Stream," released on Nuclear Blast in 1991, is still considered a masterpiece today. Their brutal cover art, featuring copious amounts of blood and sometimes upside-down crosses, caused a stir among youth protection advocates. While other metal bands became less heavier over time, Dismember always remained true to themselves. After a hiatus between 2000 and 2004 and their official disbandment in 2011, Dismember are back in full force. Along with Entombed, Dismember are now considered the founders and most important representatives of Swedish death metal. And then, as now, they deliver – no bullshit and full throttle. 📸 Thumbnail photos: WDR/Thomas von der Heiden #dismember #rockhardfestival #rockpalast ----- 🎬 More Rockpalast: ► Rockpalast in the ARD Mediathek: https://www.ardmediathek.de/sendung/r... ► Rockpalast website and archive: https://www.wdr.de/tv/rockpalast/
