Designing and Building a Classic Mustang Body Jig - Part 4A |Mustang Frame Jig | Mustang Chassis Jig

This video is part 4A in a series of videos I am doing on designing & building a body jig for a Classic Ford Mustang, also sometimes called a chassis jig, or frame jig. Body jig is probably the most accurate as the Mustang does not have a frame, it is Uni-body construction. The purpose of the body jig is to keep the important locating points of the body where they are supposed to be as you cut out rusty metal out to replace it. The main frame of the Jig is going to be built out of 2"x4" rectangular tubing. Four swivel casters will allow it to be moved as needed, and when set up it will stand on 8 - 2"x2" tubing legs with leveling feet. Each of the mounting brackets / supports will be made from 2"x2" square tubing and have 2"x1/4" 'feet' that will get clamped to the top of the main frame . In this video I am starting weld together the main section of the jig, but run into some complications along the way and wind up having to restart.
