And this week I visited a property in the Castro region of Paraná, the largest dairy micro-basin in Brazil. On this dairy farm, they have dairy cows in a rotational grazing system, with more than 170 cows in the pasture, in a high-production grazing system. They are high-producing dairy cows, cows free-range in the pasture. This trip was a technical visit to Catolândia (Castro PR), the largest dairy micro-basin in Brazil. We will see many technologies in milk production; this high-production dairy farm is very efficient in the production of milk, Holstein calves, and feed for the Holstein cows and heifers. I will show details of the milking parlor, cow cooling room, feeding room, manure pit, and the collar monitoring system. This is part 1 of this visit to Castro.
