Airports can be noisy, chaotic and stressful places for all of us, so for children with autism, they can be extremely distressing. One mum who had struggled with her nine-year-old son took matters into her own hands. Maria Cook and her nine year old son Ryan designed a sensory room at Gatwick airport for children who need a safe quiet space. Marcella Whittingdale reports.
