Chunky Crochet Basket Tutorial | Easy Crocheted Basket for Beginners

In this chunky crochet basket tutorial you'll learn how to make and size an easy crocheted basket for beginners. This is a great spring crochet pattern, and it goes so quick, make sure to add it to your weekend crochet projects this season! Materials listed and yarn linked below. Yarn Hack: For this crocheted basket, using chunky yarn would give you the best results and the most sturdiness, but feel free to use any yarn you like. I crocheted this holding two strands together of Bernat Maker Home Decor Yarn, which I will show you how to do. I loved the results! Holding two strands together of a lighter weight yarn gives you the feel and sturdiness of a thicker, chunkier yarn so it's a great hack if you don't have a chunky yarn on hand, or you really love a particular yarn, but it isn't quite thick enough. Size My basket size: 9.5" across at the base and 4.5" in height I used: ~85 yds of multi (variegated) color ~169 yds of Yellow If you use the same yarn and crochet similar size 1 skein of each color should be fine.
