🎥 Chennai on Edge | A Documentary on Climate Reality in Chennai
Climate change is no longer a future threat for Chennai. It is a reality experienced through devastating floods, cyclones, droughts, heatwaves and rising climate risks. This documentary traces Chennai’s journey through a decade of disasters, from the catastrophic 2015 floods to Cyclone Vardah, the 2019 water crisis, Cyclone Michaung, and recent heat extremes. More importantly, it explores what these events have taught us and how communities, institutions and policymakers can work together to build a more resilient city. Produced as part of the ClimACT Initiative by the Habitat Forum INHAF, this documentary combines historical evidence, scientific understanding and community perspectives to examine how Chennai can prepare for an uncertain climate future.
