‘23 New Product Review – New V2 SaltX Surf Rods
The original SaltX rods came out in 2019 and were an immediate success. On the floor of ICAST '23 Tsunami introduced their V2 version of the popular surf stick. The immediate change is the slate blue finish to the blanks. A high-density carbon blank makes it one of their lightest rods yet. Combined with Fuji SIC guides, it's practically weightless. Another line of rods has hit the Tsunami line also. Forged rods are almost exactly the same as the SaltX series but with a different guide, train to keep the cost down a little more, and a slate black blank. Nick from Tsunami, who had a key role in the design of both series, deep dives into detail on both rod series and goes over all of the key changes and developments.
