Enhancing access to justice with AI: the libra.law knowledge marketplace
How can AI help to connect individuals to appropriate legal assistance? Libra is a AI knowledge marketplace, enabling the public, business and public sector users to understand and resolve legal issues directly and connecting them to a directory of law firms and pro bono law clinics where in person legal support is required. The seminar discussed: The work of Libra’s knowledge management team to aggregate public legal datasets alongside proprietary data to make legal AI more accurate at an accessible price point; The challenges of improving AI accuracy; Libra’s lawyer in the loop model and AI output verification; and The risks posed to the legal profession of current public AI services when used to manage sensitive legal matters, which Libra is seeking to address.
