MUSEVENI retires 5 UPDF Generals at State House in peace and to peace, says "Thank You!"

Happy to grace the retirement ceremony for Generals: Maj Gen Fred Tolit, Brig Gen Eugene Ssebugwawo, Brig Gen Emmanuel Rwashande, Brig Jesse Kamunwanire, and Brig Max Gumisiriza this evening at State House Entebbe. It gives me great pleasure to note that these officers and so many others before them can now retire when there is no more internal cannibalism , where the army was killing itself, factors which characterized previous armies before the NRA. Army officers are now retiring in peace and to peace. The culture of fratricides is extinct because of the stability ushered in by the NRM backed by sound ideology. I congratulate the generals who are retiring , who believed in the NRA as young people. Thank you ! The NRA has built your capacity through different academic and military training, you have more options today than initially. As you go back to your communities, people who have held you in high regard will continue seeking inspiration from you in whatever capacity, provide it happily and freely! continue serving your country productively. I salute you!
