KZN officials charged over tender irregularities

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Public Works has laid criminal charges against a former supply chain management director and three senior officials. An investigation, launched in September last year, uncovered serious irregularities in the awarding of 29 tenders worth over R1.1 billion. KZN Public Works MEC Martin Meyer speaks to Newzroom Afrika’s Aldrin Sampear about the investigation’s findings and its impact on service delivery.
