Finding the nature of the roots-USING THE DISCRIMINANT
This video examines yet another quadratics area of the NATIONAL 5 course, whereby we need to use the discriminant to calculate the NATURE OF THE ROOTS or, when we need to work out a value of, say p, q when we already know the nature of the roots. Typically these questions appear like: 'Determine the nature of the roots of equation....' or, Given that the equation.......has no real roots, determine all the possible values of p.
