It was first screened at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2006, with a wide release the following year on January 12, 2007. Sante Kimes (born Sante Singhrs; July 24, 1934 – May 19, 2014)[4] was an American criminal who was convicted of two murders, as well as robbery, forgery, violation of anti-slavery laws, and numerous other crimes. Many of these crimes were committed with the assistance of her son, Kenny Kimes. They were tried and convicted together for the murder of Mrs. Irene Silverman, along with 117 other charges.
