Terence Judd plays Prokofiev piano Concerto No. 3 - live (1/3)
Along with Kapell And Argerich the most exciting and fastest tempi(and clear as a bell) Prok 3rd you are ever likely to hear(i like this one more then the other two). The Orchestra and Recording Quality is a bit lacking, but TJ's Explosive Virtuosity, more then makes up for it.Still the best Orchestral recording with mid tempi pianistic brilliance is the Szell-Graffman on columbia(Here On YT also)Graffman Prok 3rd sonata on the same reciording rivals Alexis Weissenberg's also on Yt.I digress. This recording was made live at the 1978 international Tchaikovsky Piano Competition where he played this back 2 back with the Tchaikovsky 1st.You listen to these and you ask "he Placed fifth"?! No there is no such thing as nepotism in the classical or competition world.
