【岡山の公共交通を考察②】たった100m延伸に66億円。岡山電気軌道の駅前電停移設に66億円の価値はあるのか?
The Okayama Ekimae stop of the Okayama Electric Tramway, which serves Okayama Station's streetcar system, is slightly far from the station, a long-standing issue. Construction will finally begin in January of next year, with the relocation to the station's front by 2025. However, the cost of this project is quite steep, at 6.6 billion yen for just a 100m extension and the development of the station plaza. Is it really worth it? Also, if the Momotaro Line were converted to LRT, would it be possible to connect it to the Okayama Electric Tramway? I visited Okayama Station and investigated the situation on-site.
