— 坂上町・地蔵堂の農村舞台にて 11月1日、愛知県豊田市坂上町の地蔵堂にある農村舞台で、舞踏の公演を取材する機会があった。 出演は、一流の演奏家と舞踏家たち。 明治の頃から使われてきた木造の舞台が、再び彼らの手で息を吹き返す——そんな場面に立ち会えたのは、なかなかに贅沢な午後だった。 舞踏の舞台として、これほどふさわしい場所はそう多くない。 茅葺屋根の下、時間そのものが緩やかに揺れているような空気。 いにしえの空気がそのまま舞い上がって、身体の動きと溶け合っていく。そんな感覚を味わった。 — At the rural stage of Jizo-do in Sakagami-cho On November 1st, I had the opportunity to cover a dance performance at the rural stage located at Jizo-do in Sakagami-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. The performers were top-class musicians and dancers. Witnessing the wooden stage, which has been in use since the Meiji era, come back to life in their hands was quite a luxurious afternoon. There are not many places more suitable for a dance performance than this. Under the thatched roof, the air felt as if time itself was gently swaying. I experienced a feeling of ancient atmosphere rising up and merging with the movements of the dancers' bodies.
