Tips for circular breathing practice and performance. April Clayton has extensively performed new music that includes a large variety of extended techniques. She has collaborated with many composers, in scores (if not hundreds) of premiere performances. She received two "Best Performance" awards from the National Flute Association for her renditions of newly commissioned compositions. (And congratulations to her recent flute major graduates! They are going on to become band directors, college flute teachers, and a 2019 graduate will start her M.M. in flute performance at The Juilliard School later this year!)
