We became a family in September 2016. After a year of what seemed like a happy newlywed life, Yeongshim's mother was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. I'd only seen it in dramas, and I'd gone through 16 rounds of chemotherapy (8 before and 8 after). After the eighth round, I lay on a cold bed and went into the operating room. I looked at my wife and said, "It'll be okay. I'll see you in a few hours." Then, a brief separation. After leaving the operating room and returning to the recovery room, I couldn't wake up for hours, and the terrifying images flooded my mind... The bleeding wouldn't stop in my blood bag, requiring a blood transfusion. I even heard the terrible news that if it didn't stop, I'd have to have another surgery... The 16 chemotherapy injections resulted in my hair and toenails falling out, A trip to the emergency room in the middle of the night due to a high fever, antibiotics, and other critical situations that left me with a prayer and a rash all over my body as a side effect... Yeong-shim, a mother who loved children and had expressed her desire for three children even before she got married, went through a very difficult time due to the early menopause caused by chemotherapy, which was devastating both physically and emotionally. As chemotherapy neared its end, she adopted Yeong-shim, whom she had conceived with her own heart. As her life gradually became more stable, she gradually became more stable. Around that time, I started thinking about traveling the world. The trip I had planned to take before I was fully cured in March 2020 was postponed by three years due to the pandemic, and I was finally able to leave after being declared fully cured.
