Return to Oz: fiaba oscura e inquietante

The film "Return to Oz" (1985) is not only a sequel to the famous 1939 film starring Judy Garland or an adaptation of the second and third books in L. Frank Baum's saga, but also, and above all, an unusual Disney experiment that isn't afraid to terrify: through the fairy tale archetype, it weaves a disturbing and dark atmosphere that reflects on themes of identity and repression, in an underground journey populated by doubles. With villains like they're no longer made, like the Gnome King, Princess Mombi, and the Wheelers.
