The most beautiful train ride in India - Kalka Shimla toy train

After visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra we decided to head to Shimla to escape the summer heat. It is the most popular hill destination in India and every year thousands of tourists from the plains travel to the foothills of Himalayas to this pristine town. We decided to take the UNESCO heritage toy train from Kalka to Shimla which takes about 6 hours. The train journey is spectacular and the best way to reach Shimla in my opinion. But once we reached there, we were greeted with maddening crowds and traffic. So we dropped our initial plan of staying in the city centre and travelled to a nearby village. Mashobra was a much better option for an extended stay and we had the best homely meals at our homestay. My mother and Annika loved spending time in the hills and we ended up having a lovely family vacation :) *SUPPORT* Love the videos I create?
