I Cut My Z900 Exhaust With a Hacksaw… (Worth It?) ... Breadbox Delete

Z900 breadbox delete - done the cheapest way possible. In this video, I cut the stock exhaust on my 2017 Kawasaki Z900 using a hacksaw, removed the breadbox, and installed a mid pipe - all without a lift or power tools. The goal was simple: bring the sound back without going full exhaust or spending thousands. This is a full DIY process including: cutting the stock headers by hand removing the breadbox installing a mid pipe before and after sound comparison I’ve previously run a full exhaust system on this bike, and while it sounded amazing, it required an ECU tune and affected performance. With this setup, the catalytic converter stays in place, so the bike keeps its stock feel — but with a much better sound. Result: louder, deeper exhaust tone no noticeable loss in performance no ECU tune required total cost around $60 If you’re after sound and don’t want to go full system — this mod is worth considering.
