Come with me aboard the wonderfully cute and unique Ensignbus miniature open-top double-decker bus BNK 217A, built by Sandhill on a classic 1963 Morris Mini. First, we leave the petrol station in Chalkwell and run alongside and passing full-sized buses on the London Road, including First Hadleigh Westcliff heritage livery Trident 33191. Then we follow the First 26 route and former Southend Corporation Transport tram route to Leigh Church, before we head out west and down the steep hill to Leigh Station. Passing by Leigh Station, we go ‘dead slow’ to crawl over the sharp road section edges to avoid grounding the rear end as we head towards Two Tree Island, due south of Leigh-on-Sea.
