Learn to draw a face for beginners, nice and simple. How to draw the basic proportions of a face is very important. In this easy face drawing tutorial I explain how to draw the proportions of the face correctly using little cards cut to the width of the eye, length of the nose and the top of the nose to the chin. These proportions of the face will ensure that the eyes, nose, ears and mouth are in the right positions. The video explains that eyes are half way down the head. This very important because many people draw a face with the eyes near the top of the head. It is vital to make sure the top of the head is large enough to accommodate the brain, otherwise the drawing of the face will look unbalanced. This simple sketch of the face also covers how to make the eyes look alive by leaving a white spot on the pupils. This art tutorial also covers the basic shading of the face as well.
