HUGE Nassau Grouper on Fly!! Eleuthera, The Bahamas

EDIT: at the end of the video I say “if I had my spinning rod that fish would have been in the cooler.” When saying this, I was excited and had forgotten that Nassau grouper is out of season in the Bahamas at this time. Even if I did land this fish, he would have been released safely. Here’s a quick clip from my day yesterday - was walking along and decided to take a cast over the reef ledge on this beach, and this monster Nassau grouper ate the fly right away. I fought him gently for a couple minutes until he reefed up and broke off. I’ll get him next time!!!! STAY STOKED
