Nakasendo | A Winter Walk Along The Ancient Samurai Trail

The walk from Magome to Tsumago is one of the most iconic parts of the Nakasendo Trail, but in this video, we're starting the hike from Nagiso, going to Tsumago, and finally, Magome. This hike can be done all year round, so we thought, why not hike it in winter? And winter we got. It was snowing the day we arrived in Nakatsugawa, so the morning after, which was the day of our walk along the trail, there was some accumulation of snow. The post towns are so beautiful, and the people are very kind and warm.
