Four Night Spring Baxter Trip - Part Two: Frost Pond
Early season visit to Maine's beautiful Baxter State Park. Very relaxed trip compared to usual with lots of camping and even some fishing. Backpacking in to remote sites on trails filled with early color and lots of bird song. This second part of the trip covers the hike along the Freezeout & Frost Pond Trails from Little East campsites to Frost Pond. The third and fourth days were spent paddling a canoe around the pond. The fishing was not productive as temps had dropped. Lots of time to enjoy time in camp with a fire and lots of food. Breakfast on the last morning was a real treat!
