Excision: protégeons nos petites sœurs

In this interview, our two guests explain the violence of female genital mutilation (FGM). This practice affects more than 230 million girls and women worldwide, leading to serious physical and psychological consequences. Through their personal stories, our two guests aim to raise awareness about the importance of breaking the taboo surrounding FGM and continuing prevention efforts, so that the 12,000 girls currently considered at risk of FGM in Belgium can finally live in safety. With the summer holidays approaching and many families returning to their countries of origin, GAMS is launching the "Let's Protect Our Little Sisters" campaign, encouraging young people, older brothers, and older sisters to break the taboo and speak out about it.
