Hidden Workings - LIDAR Finds Gold
We spend the weekend in Maryborough and work an old surfaced area. Rather than detect on the heavily worked area in the gully we went in search of the gullies that feed the once rich lower ground. Follow our journey as we look for clues as to where the gold was coming from, including our first use of LIDAR. We managed to find a small hidden working that was not visible from satellite view, but is clearly shown on the LIDAR maps that peel away the trees to show ground workings. This is another video in our Finding Your First Gold Nugget Series designed for those who are new to detecting and are yet to find their first gold nugget.
