Condensations 2026 Panel Discussion

Condensations 2026 is an inaugural thought leadership event hosted by SUTD’s Sustainable Futures Centre (a newly launched Centre of Excellence advancing critical planetary design, directed by Prof. Khoo Peng Beng). It also marks the second edition of Condensations in Singapore, organised by the Centre for Climate Adaptation (CCA). It is the first time that SUTD convened experts in climate adaptation, water governance, urban planning, and resilience to explore how cities can respond to rising seas, extreme weather, and environmental change. The discussion examined how design can move beyond technical solutions to shape strategy, policy, and decision-making, while reimagining how cities live with water. From adaptive systems that work alongside natural processes to the difficult choices around what to protect, adapt, or let go, the conversation highlighted the complex trade-offs that will define our climate future. 00:00:00 Introduction 00:02:18 Opening Speech by Prof. Khoo Peng Beng 00:15:29 Speaker 1 - Henk Ovink 00:27:51 Speaker 2 - Sourav Majumder 00:41:07 Speaker 3 - Matthijs Bouw 00:55:15 Speaker 4 - Ridzuan Ismail 01:05:49 Speaker 5 - Laurian Farrell 01:21:55 Panel Discussion 01:59:19 Closing
