Préface : Amélie Nothomb – Tant Mieux aux éditions Albin Michel

The daughter of a Belgian diplomat, Amélie Nothomb was born on August 13, 1967, in Kobe, Japan. She published her first novel, "Hygiène de l'assassin," in 1992, to unanimous critical and popular acclaim. Over her twenty-year career, Amélie Nothomb has been awarded the 1999 Grand Prix du Roman de l'Académie française, the Grand Prix Jean Giono for her entire body of work, and the 2007 Prix de Flore. In 2019, with "Soif," she was shortlisted for the Prix Goncourt. In 2021, inspired by her own father's life, she published "Premier sang" and then "Le livre des soeurs." In 2025, "Tant mieux" (Ed. Albin Michel) was published. Combining humor, gravity, sincerity, and emotion, the novelist tells us about her recently deceased mother, to whom she pays tribute.
