Newly Modernized KONE Traction Central Elevators at The Dolphin Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL

Filmed in December 2019 with AdazElevatorz & Train&Elevatorfan8150. Since these are some of AdazElevatorz' favorite Elevators in the Orlando area, he was with me and since today is now his 21st Birthday, I figured I'd upload this today. Happy Birthday AdazElevatorz! As for the elevators, I'm sure you remember the CRAZY, FAST & THRILLING Monties that were here, well as you can see the Modernization is Completed and they have all been replaced by KONE! At the time of the video, the Modernization wasn't 100% completed (much to my surprise) and some of the old call stations were still remaining and in use, however the lastof the original Montgomery elevators in this bank were out of service, and 2 out of 3 were replaced by KONE and running. The Modernization is solid and is pretty nice considering it was done by my least favorite elevator company, however, I really do not like it at the same time as I loved the cabs and fixtures of the Monties WAY MORE and the acceleration and deceleration is so slow and boring compared to how it used to be, and they SLOWED THEM DOWN!!!! Originally they were 800 FPM, now they only go 500 FPM. I've heard they apparently did this to save energy and they thought they went unnecessarily fast, but them going as fast as they did made these SO MUCH MORE FUN and MORE EFFICIENT!!!! This mod/replacement had a lot of potential considering how good the neighboring Swans' mod was, but due to KONE slowing these down, it's a major disappointment and it absolutely sucks. On the positive side, I got videos when they were still original! depressed sigh Installed in 1989. (Montgomery with Adams fixtures and Handcarved Wooden Cabs) Modernized/Replaced in 2019-2020. (KONE with New Cabs, New Doortracks, Innovation Prestige fixtures, New Interlocks, New Lanterns, New Motors, New Controllers, etc. Everything is totally replaced except the outside doors.)
