A quiet walk through Seimei Shrine in Kyoto, built on the former residence of Abe no Seimei. Seimei Shrine is dedicated to Abe no Seimei、 the legendary onmyoji of the Heian period. Within the shrine grounds, you will find the golden pentagram known as the Seimei Kikyo, the old Ichijo Modoribashi Bridge, legends of shikigami, the Seimei Well that changes direction toward the year’s lucky direction, the peach believed to ward off misfortune, and the sacred camphor tree standing quietly in the grounds. Although the shrine stands in the middle of modern Kyoto, It still carries a quiet atmosphere connected to unseen worlds and ancient beliefs.
