How to make chiptune music on your retro handheld for FREE with ChipNomad
This is a basic tutorial on using the ChipNomad tracker software on your Linux-based handheld (mostly devices from Miyoo, Anbernic, Powkiddy, Trimui and the R36S) to compose chiptune music. I'll run through the basics of the interface and give you just enough direction to start making tunes - though there's plenty more functionality than I cover in this video! Update: the author has confirmed ChipNomad also runs on Android devices, so if you have a more powerful device you’re still able to join the fun Much of the interface and commands I run through there also apply to Game Boy tracker LSDJ and Dirtywave M8 - transferrable skills ftw!
