He was a key figure in the famous Australian Men’s Team that were crowned world champions in 1989 and a former world number 2 🇦🇺 Rod’s coaching career began immediately after retiring at 31 years of age due to a recurring hip injury. He took on the position of Head of Elite Sport Performance at the AIS from 1995 for almost 20 years before moving to the United States.
