Ford Transit Custom Key Fob - New battery New case

Welcome to AW Services In this video, I repair an OEM Ford Transit Custom Key Fob The OEM key fob is factory sealed, which means it's a single use one-time assembly The VL2020 battery again is a single use item, meaning that it needs to be desoldered and removed from the PCB, so a new replacement can be soldered into the board. The skeletal OEM cut key needs to be removed from the chrome alloy pivot hinge by knocking out the small hardened steel roll pin The easiest way to tell if your key is a genuine one is to look in the area where the key folds into and see if there is a release slot If the key fob is a non OEM one, you'll be able to release the back cover where the Ford logo sits and unscrew the case assembly You do need the ability to solder to add a replacement battery on the model key fob The best way to open the OEM key fob case is by inserting some needle nose pliers under the hinge when the key is out from the case You will also need to place the OEM circuit board into the new key fob case The repair kit I used is in the link below https://amzn.eu/d/9FA1rFx I hope this video helps someone Subscribe and support the channel Press the bell icon for notifications when new content is added to the channel Like share & comment Check out my playlists for many other useful videos
