Making Seedling Pots From Cardboard Boxes

It's time to pot up (or up-pot) my seedlings! And after watching a video from Nancy Birtwhistle about making seedling pots from old cardboard boxes, I knew I had to try it for myself. It turns out all you need is cardboard, water, and a few jars or containers to shape them around. Simple, FREE, and a great way to give those old boxes one last job rather than head to the recycling bin. Of course, this experiment included a few hiccups along the way. At one point I couldn’t get the cardboard pot off the jar, Darren had to step in and help, Willow decided the soaking bin was apparently a deluxe water dish, and my brain temporarily stopped cooperating with my mouth while filming. Business as usual around here. 😅 But honestly? These little pots worked surprisingly well, and I’ll definitely be making more of them for my growing seedlings! Also, my sincerest apologies to ‪@nancybirtwhistle4197‬ for completely forgetting your name while filming this vlog. I put your name up on screen after the fact as I absolutely wanted to give credit where credit was due since your video was the inspiration behind this experiment! Here’s Nancy’s original video that inspired me:   / 1284839990515357   Thank you to my sister, Peggy (who is a better gardener than me!) for introducing me to Nancy Birtwhistles content! If you enjoyed this little garden experiment and want to follow along as we continue figuring things out one project at a time, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and say hello in the comments. I always love hearing from you folks. 😊 #gardening #seedstarting #recycling #gardenprojects #diygardenpots #gardentips #growyourownfood #organicgardening #homesteadlife #upcycling #budgetgardening
