Vintage Calculator Tour, Part 2 - documentary
This is a sequel to my earlier video titled, "Vintage Calculator Tour - documentary", which highlighted some older devices that assist in doing arithmetical calculations, mechanically or electronically, but in that video I covered only those that I had actually owned and/or used personally before I started my collection. This new video covers three additional calculators: Corvus (MOSTEK) model 310/311 Hewlett Packard HP-35 Canon Canola 161S desktop calculator with Nixie tube display The Corvus is one that was in my family almost as long as I have personally owned and used calculators, but this one was never owned or used by me until it was recently added to my collection. The HP-35 is simply a classic calculator that I wanted to have in my collection, but which I had never owned or used previously. The Canon Canola 161S is representative in my collection of large desktop calculators that existed prior to the advent of LSI (large scale integration) IC's, such as microprocessors and dedicated calculator ICs, and using older display technology before the common use of LED, LCD, and vacuum fluorescent displays. This is my most recent calculator acquisition, and in my previous calculator video I showed a placeholder desktop calculator model that looked old but was actually fairly recent.
