Chaos is that everything flows, changes, moves, that nothing remains in the place it was before. Order, on the other hand, is stability, repetition, predictability. Order gives security, but immobilizes. Chaos opens up innovation and creativity, but produces anguish. The Renaissance was a great revolution for our Western civilization by breaking with the pre-established thoughts on which the (stale) way of life of the Middle Ages rested, and opening minds to innovation and what was yet to be explored.
