Noah Bontrager dominates 2026 Carmel 3200 in 8:41.28! 7 guys under 9 minutes!

Crazy race at this year’s Carmel 3200 showcase with 7 guys breaking 9 minutes the most stacked it’s ever been in a 3200 race in Indiana! It was really close up until about 500 meters to go with multiple runners in contention. Noah Bontrager and Calvin Seitz traded back the lead multiple times with Carter Zieren and Banner Barnes trailing close behind for multiple laps. But in the final 500 meters, Noah Bontrager really turned on the jets with a 58 second final lap dominating the competition. That final kick was remisencent of Cole Hocker in high school. Carter Zieren, junior from Evansville FJ Reitz, almost caught Calvin Seitz in the final 100 running 8:51! Carter Zieren is another elite runner on the rise coming off a great cross country season where he ran multiple sub 15 5K’s and placed 6th at state. Multiple of these runners could be elite college runners and have a professional career ahead of them.
