The Kyoto Prefectural Police's Heian Cavalry is a group of horse-riding police officers who are active in a wide range of activities, including historical festivals and patrolling tourist spots. Over 30 years after their establishment, rising prices have led to soaring feed costs and horse manure disposal costs, putting their survival at risk. In response, the Kyoto Prefectural Police launched a crowdfunding campaign with no gifts in return, raising 6.41 million yen, far exceeding their target of 5 million yen, and receiving support from all over the country.
