The Philippines' Best-Kept Secret? My First Day in Iloilo 🇵🇭

Welcome to my first time in Iloilo City, Philippines! 🇵🇭 In this vlog, I arrive at the Iloilo Port. From the port, I took a tricycle to my hotel for ₱150 and got my first glimpse of the city known as the City of Love. I checked into Philipas Bed and Breakfast, where I found a comfortable room for only ₱1,200 per night. It's a great budget-friendly option for travelers visiting Iloilo. After settling in, I headed out to try one of Iloilo's most famous dishes — the legendary La Paz Batchoy. I ate at Alicia Batchoy , my meal costed ₱280 and was worth every peso. Batchoy is a traditional noodle soup made with rich pork broth, egg noodles, pork meat, pork liver, crushed pork cracklings (chicharon), and topped with spring onions. It originated in the La Paz district of Iloilo and is considered one of the city's signature dishes. I also visited La Paz Plaza Park, a popular local landmark where visitors can relax and experience the atmosphere of the district where Batchoy was born. Join me as I explore Iloilo City for the first time, discover local food, find affordable accommodation, and experience the charm and hospitality that earned Iloilo its nickname, the City of Love.
