Hello, I went you Yumata-Onsen at the foot of North Alps inJapan.It is located in the end of Kitakamaone;it’s the ridges of Mt.Yari.And it is at the point where Yumata-river and Minamata-river. The elevation is 1534m at Yumata-Onsen. It takes 2 hours and half from Takase-dam(The elevation is 1270m) on foot. However the trail is almost flat.So if you have enough energy to walk 20km there and back,from adult to children can enjoy at there. I went there as day trip,but don’t worry!There is a hut in Yumata-Onsen.If you are not confident with your energy,please stay or camp at the hut. Also there is hot springs at the hut. The trail from Yumata-Onsen goes to Mt.Masago,Mt.Suisho and so on. It was good atmosphere and hot springs was so refreshing! So I really recommend there! ■湯俣温泉 晴嵐荘(Yumataonsen Seiranso) http://seiransou.com ■How to get there? 　From Nanakura-sanso 　By taxi :15 minutes (The price is about 2500yen) 　On foot :1 hour and half 　It takes about 2 hours and half to Yumata-Onsen from Takase-dam on foot. The bridge to cross to Seiranso is broken by heavy rain. Luckily, I could get there without wading across.After rain,you may need wading across or not be possible to cross. It depends on the amount of water. Pls check the weather and an information before you go.
