The spectacular RUTOR WATERFALLS- (Italy) A wonderful loop hike
Hello, my friends! If you want to like, comment, share or subscribe I'll be very happy! My dear friends, finally, after some time, I can post a new video and I hope to please you by taking you with me to visit a really, really special place. We are in the Valle d'Aosta Region and precisely we will visit the fantastic Rutor waterfalls. A truly breathtakingly beautiful place. These marvelous waterfalls owe their name to the Rutor Glacier which with its 3,486 meters is one of the highest and largest by extension in Italy. There are three prodigious jumps of water that are truly impetuous that throw themselves into closed gorges and precipices, then forming very blue pools of water. Truly an incredible natural spectacle. Arriving at the third and last waterfall, you can continue climbing up to the Deffeyes Refuge or even higher to reach the wonderful Lakes of Bellacomba. Only the more experienced climbers can go as far up to the Testa del Rutor, the Glacier. The waterfalls are located in La Thuile, a renowned and beautiful holiday resort set in an absolutely fantastic alpine panorama. Along the road to reach La Thuile you will find a particularly fascinating stretch made up of eight consecutive hairpin bends, along which, as you go up more and more, you can admire an enchanting scenery, dominated by the view of Mont Blanc, the Giant of Europe. The waterfalls were formed thanks to the sudden emptying of Lake Margherita, one of the lakes fed by the Rutor Glacier. Emptying that caused the last flood that occurred in La Thuile in 1864. The population of La Thuile, for a very long time, in the month of July went in procession to the foot of the glacier precisely to avert new catastrophes. From that moment on, the retreating front of the Glacier allowed the melting waters to form the falls as we can admire them today in all their beauty. The path to reach the three waterfalls starts from La Joux and walks through coniferous woods, paved and rocky paths, a wide plateau and several wooden bridges and an iron one, the last, the spectacular "Abbè Chanoux" suspended bridge between the second and third waterfall. You can walk the circular path descending from the so-called Path of the Centocinquantenario, designed precisely to celebrate the birth of the falls themselves. Along the descent from this path, often very dense and wooded, you can admire all the three jumps in their entirety in different spectacular points. A magnificent and majestic spectacle that truly leaves you speechless. The entire route is not very difficult, but is phisicaly demanding hike in some points, especially the final ones towards the third waterfall, but the effort is totally rewarded by the wonderful view of this natural spectacle. Along the way, the roar of the waterfalls and the flow of the Rutor stream accompany us like a unique and extraordinary background music. I have to say this hike really took my heart away. Finding myself totally immersed in this natural setting was something truly unforgettable. I recommend this visit to everyone if you are in Valle d'Aosta. You will agree with me ....
