I Played EVERY Pikmin Game to Prepare for Pikmin 4

After almost a entire decade since the release of Pikmin 3, the latest entry in the series is finally upon us. I first played the original Pikmin all the way back in 2001 during its release, and I've been a fan of the series ever since. When I first heard that Pikmin 4 was finally unveiled, I decided that I wanted to not only replay each of the following games, but also research the development history in order to understand how we all got here. What I learned was that in spite of numerous circumstances setting the games up for failure, Pikmin has continued to endure for 20 years simply because Nintendo's developers believe in it, and wish for each subsequent entry to be appreciated by more players than the last.
