Because mobile phones prioritize picking up this ultrasound, the user's voice becomes difficult for the other party to hear, making it impossible to make a call. The aim is to prevent victims of special fraud from making deposits based on instructions from criminal groups over the phone. JA Bank Osaka plans to install these speakers in approximately 300 ATMs by September, in response to the five-year consecutive increase in special fraud losses in Osaka Prefecture.
