FILIPINO BOODLE FIGHT SURPRISE! Longganisa and Famous Siopao (Ati-Atihan, Kalibo)

WHAT A GIANT ALL MEAT BOODLE FIGHT SURPRISE! Yup, this is day three of our Ati-Atihan Festival experience in Kalibo, Aklan, and once again... the vibes continue to grow! We start of the morning with a little rainy tricycle mission to watch the "Sinaot sa Calle" teachers performances. If you didn't know, there are 8000 teachers in the Province of Aklan, so great to watch them perform and celebrate. From there, we head to the Navarra compound and get surprised with a big boodle fight showcasing a lot of their local meats! There is a float parade, lots of sadsad street dancing, and we even find ourselves tasting the famous siopao at AGP Refreshment... a place that has served Kalibo since 1982. The evening showcases a legend called the "Barter of Panay". A unique story from the 12 hundreds, explaining interactions between datu's and the local Ati people. So much going on...
