Extreme inertia! 160kW electric motor direct start (star-delta; NO soft starter)

The motor drives a rasper for mashing potatos in a starch factory. The rotor of the rasper has a diameter of 1200mm, a width of 500mm, weighs 600kg, spins at 4000rpm (faster then the motor) and is driven by 8 parallel belts. The machine mashes 30t of potatos per hour. Startup (empty machine) takes about 46 seconds, whilst the motor draws around 500A per phase in star mode. The switching point to delta mode is not in the video (but you don't hear a difference anyway).
